A-1 basement solutions did a fantastic job on our basement drainage system. The work was meticulously done, and they were very professional, courteous and cleaned up the entire detritus on job completion. They installed a dual battery-backed up sump pump system with smartphone controls. Their chief Doug is very responsive and has good probity and right prescription on what recourse of the work should be. So far the water ejection seems to work nicely, and knowing the depth of the french drain and the deep pit with 2 pumps will work on the next hurricane induced rain, feels very assuring.

Doug and his crew were terrific from the first meeting through the completion of the job. Their work was professional and thorough. I had a really big job, french drain, mold remediation, and painting of the basement.Doug and his crew came in and saved the day. Devin in the office was always their to answer my questions. I hired A-1 to do a specialist basement inspection on a house I'm buying. I wanted something more focused than the usual inspection given the size and age of this basement. The price was fair and I chose them. The inspector was so professional and experienced and he took extra time to discuss various abnormalities with me. He spent at least 45 minutes just chatting with me about every crack and crevice. He gave me a very frank assessment about the condition and gave a no-nonsense overall opinion (for the record, he told me to buy the house without fear). He identified one semi-serious issue that needs a mason's attention and advised how to go about that. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for in this specialist inspection and their expertise was worth every penny. Should I do a French drain down the line I'll absolutely use them. Highly recommended for pre-purchase inspections.

This 5-star review is 10 years overdue. This is the perfect testimonial because after all these years, we have not had one drop of water coming into our basement...from the floor, walls, anywhere! Their french drain system and installation process worked like magic. My husband and I have said many times over these past 10 years, " well this huge storm or snow melt will be a test to Doug and his team", (and there have been many of those weather situations) but their work has never disappointed us! I recently reached out to A-1 after all these years to inquire about prepping and re-painting the basement floor and walls. Something they had done after the waterproofing, but obviously could stand to be done again after all these years. With prices so high I've decided to go it on my own. Rick at A-1 returned my call immediately. What an amazing fellow! He gave me the names of some painting products he thought would be helpful and advised on some other prepping questions I had. What an all around friendly and professional business A-1 is. If you are considering hiring A-1 for waterproofing, painting or any type of basement service they provide, I would highly recommend their services. Do not look elsewhere! This company is the real deal and I would 100% trust their work. After 10 years, we are still extremely satisfied customers. And I seldomly write reviews, this one is well-deserved!

Doug and his team has done 2 homes for me and my parents as well. His team is efficient, clean and detail oriented. My current home they disassembled built in shelves and cedar plank walls, did their work , and put it all back together perfectly. They also noted that the preliminary estimate had one sump installed but while on the job noticed it should have 2 pits. Doug himself was on the job and said they needed to put a second in and that was their fault and at no cost to me. The system has redundancy built in if one pump would fail and after 8 years have never had an issue. I had a ez breathe system installed also to circulate air and dehumidify. I called yesterday and Doug ran me through a quick and easy troubleshoot and I was able to reset the unit. I would recommend and I do to everyone who ever asks. They stand behind their work and products. Hard to find these days. Thanks Doug and your team.
